​Recognized as "Hampton Roads’ premiere children’s chorus," VCC is a choir school committed to training the voice, in addition to offering extraordinary concert opportunities. Founded in 1992 by Carol Thomas Downing, The Virginia Children's Chorus provides an thrilling and artistically complete program designed to develop both musical sensitivity and choral skills. Chorus members look forward to deepening their appreciation of the vocal arts via weekly training in wholesome vocal technique, solfege, language and diction, expression and live performance decorum.
